Robert Welch began working with Sheffield based manufacturer, Harrison Fisher in 1963 and he started designing scissors for their Taylor's Eye Witness brand from 1968. Chrome-plated carbon steel Concord kitchen scissors were designed to last a lifetime, and remain a collector’s item.
This later design was part of a 1979 range. With a specific focus on ergonomically contoured handles Robert focussed his approach on comfortable use. The comfortable and sculptured handles are moulded directly on to the stainless steel blades so they are permanently bonded together. Every pair is tested twice before dispatch.
As with many of Robert Welch’s industrial design contracts, this range was branded with the manufacturers logo, but you can be assured of their British design heritage as they creep up on their 40th year.
