Design Notes
Ashbury Bright cutlery is a classic pattern with a contemporary twist; the knives feature a fluid curve which creates a feeling of movement.
The table knife is designed to be poised for use, resting vertically with the cutting edge raised from the table top. The classic styling of Ashbury Bright forks and spoons contrasts against the modern silhouette of the table, side and steak knives, as the gentle kick up of the end of the fork and spoon handles presents a mirror image of the downward curve of the knife handle. Traditionally shaped knives are also available.

Care & Need to Know
We recommend washing your cutlery/flatware in the dishwasher:
• Wash on a short hot cycle 65°-75°C (150°-167°F)
• Use quality branded all in one dishwasher tablets*
• Keep Rinse Aid topped up and Salt (for hard water areas).
• Avoid washing with non-stainless steel metals (this can cause rust staining - especially on knives).
• Ensure the dishwasher filters are cleaned and use a proprietary dishwasher cleaner regularly.
*For UK customers we recommend Fairy Platinum Plus and for US customers Cascade Platinum Plus.
When washing your Cutlery/Flatware by hand:
Rinse cutlery/flatware to remove all traces of food as soon as possible after use. Wash in warm soapy water with a microfibre cloth or non abrasive brush**. Try to avoid soaking your cutlery/flatware and always dry thoroughly immediately after washing.
**Always avoid scouring with pads or abrasive cleaners as this will scratch the surface.
To restore your finish on your cutlery/flatware we recommend using a dry microfibre cloth.

Design Story: Ashbury (2006)
One of the earliest cutlery designs created for Robert Welch by Kit deBretton Gordon, Ashbury takes inspiration from historic cutlery and is reminiscent of the shape of ‘pistol grip’ knives.
Now Head of Design, Kit recalls the design process for Ashbury: “I liked the concept of the handle fitting beautifully into the palm of the hand, and I developed the design from there. Cutlery should be an extension of the hand and multiple versions of the prototype knife were made to hone the feeling of balance whilst holding and using.”
