Behind the design: 316 Series Cookware

The 316 Series marks a new era in cookware for Robert Welch.
Crafted without non-stick coatings, this extensive stainless-steel collection has been designed for a generation of cooks who value both performance and healthy eating.

While few brands have embraced 316-grade stainless steel for cookware, its benefits are numerous. Known for its superior corrosion resistance in marine and pharmaceutical settings, it offers a cooking surface that won’t react with acidic or salty foods – preserving pure flavour in every dish.

The silhouette, however, is a respectful nod to our past. Inspired by Robert Welch’s original Campden Cookware - launched in the 1990s as Galerie Cuisine Cookware in New York - the 316 Series is an evolution, not a reinvention.

“A merger of function and finesse for the discerning cook.”

These were Robert Welch’s words at the launch of Campden. They still guide us today.

After five years of research and refinement, every detail has been re-engineered – from stay-cool handles and smoother pouring rims to stackable forms that maximise storage.

At its core is a tri-ply construction: two layers of high-grade stainless steel enveloping a responsive aluminium core, ensuring fast, even heat from base to rim.

This is cookware for those who demand more – in durability, in performance, and in a more conscious approach to healthy eating.
