The Drift bread basket is enhanced by flowing cut out sections that display bread, pastries or fruit beautifully on the table. Made from the finest 18/10 stainless steel, the Drift bread basket is gift boxed.

Design Notes

The Drift Bread basket is a useful addition to the breakfast, lunch or dinner table.

Designed as sculptural pieces, the designs in the Drift collection are both decorative and practical. The entire surface of the bread basket is punctuated with flowing piercings which allow warm bread, rolls or pastries to steam without going soggy. When displayed empty, the cut out sections allow a decorative play of light across whatever surface it sits on.

What really brings the Drift pieces to life is the setting you choose to place them in, whether indoors or out. The mirror polished stainless steel surfaces of the Drift collection reflect the setting they are placed in, making your celebration the real centrepiece.

Designed to conjure a feeling of fluid movement, the organic shapes and reflective, polished surfaces of the Drift Collection enhance any setting. The Drift range includes: candleholders, salt and pepper shakers, barware, pitchers, and tea and coffee pots.

Product Care & How-to Guides

We recommend washing your Drift Barware and Tea Collection in the dishwasher:
• Wash on a short hot cycle 65°-75°C (150°-167°F)
• Use quality branded all in one dishwasher tablets*
• Keep Rinse Aid topped up and Salt (for hard water areas).
• Avoid washing with non-stainless steel metals (this can cause rust staining - especially on knives).
• Ensure the dishwasher filters are cleaned and use a proprietary dishwasher cleaner regularly.

*For UK customers we recommend Fairy Platinum Plus and for US customers Cascade Platinum Plus

When washing your Drift Barware and Tea Collection by hand:
Rinse your Drift barware, tea collection or glassware as soon as possible after use. Wash in warm soapy water with a microfibre cloth or non abrasive brush**. Try to avoid soaking in water and always dry thoroughly immediately after washing.

**Always avoid scouring with pads or abrasive cleaners as this will scratch the surface.

Designing the Robert Welch way

Robert Radford Welch MBE, RDI was one of the most respected British designers of the 20th century. He believed that everyone should be able to use beautifully designed products in everyday life. After training as a silversmith at the Royal College of Art in London, he specialised in design for stainless steel, establishing a company in his own name in 1955.

Today, the company works to ensure its rich legacy remains an inspiration to the design team, whilst continuing to innovate in terms of technique and technology.
