Design Notes
An iconic pattern with a distinct Scandinavian influence, RW2 Bright cutlery evokes a mid-century modern aesthetic. It is a modern variant of Alveston cutlery, originally designed by Robert Welch in 1961 and which won a Design Centre Award in 1965.
If you are looking to add to an existing set of vintage Alveston cutlery or RWI cutlery then RW2 Bright cutlery will not provide an exact match. The current design is heavier and the individual pieces measure a little larger, so please contact Customer Services on +44 (0)1386 840522 to discuss your requirements further before placing an order.

Care & Need to Know
We recommend washing your cutlery/flatware in the dishwasher:
• Wash on a short hot cycle 65°-75°C (150°-167°F)
• Use quality branded all in one dishwasher tablets*
• Keep Rinse Aid topped up and Salt (for hard water areas).
• Avoid washing with non-stainless steel metals (this can cause rust staining - especially on knives).
• Ensure the dishwasher filters are cleaned and use a proprietary dishwasher cleaner regularly.
*For UK customers we recommend Fairy Platinum Plus and for US customers Cascade Platinum Plus.
When washing your Cutlery/Flatware by hand:
Rinse cutlery/flatware to remove all traces of food as soon as possible after use. Wash in warm soapy water with a microfibre cloth or non abrasive brush**. Try to avoid soaking your cutlery/flatware and always dry thoroughly immediately after washing.
**Always avoid scouring with pads or abrasive cleaners as this will scratch the surface.
To restore your finish on your cutlery/flatware we recommend using a dry microfibre cloth.

Design Story: RW2
There have been slight alterations from the Alveston cutlery designed in 1961 to the current RW2, but the essence of Robert Welch’s first design remains. It has been selected for the collections of museums across the world.
"Alveston is a pattern in which I tried to combine comfort in use with as much elegance as possible. After many experiments the rounded ends, quite deeply hollowed, proved one of the most satisfying to hold both as a fork, knife and spoon. Prototypes for the entire range were made by hand in the Silversmithing workshop." Robert Welch, 1968
