Outline:
The In-house Photographer will create high-quality photographic content that reflects and strengthens the Robert Welch brand. From styling and capturing compelling product imagery to producing lifestyle photography, this role requires a versatile professional with a strong eye for detail and a passion for visual storytelling.
Working closely with the Creative Team, the role will support product launches, marketing campaigns and ongoing content production across digital and print platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
Photography Production
- Capture high-quality still-life product photography for e-commerce, catalogues and marketing campaigns.
- Produce both white-background and lifestyle photography across all product ranges.
- Plan, style and execute lifestyle shoots that showcase products in authentic, real-world settings.
- Produce seasonal and promotional photography, including imagery for new product launches.
- Ensure all photography aligns with brand guidelines and maintains visual consistency.
Creative Development & Collaboration
- Develop creative concepts and storyboards in response to project briefs.
- Contribute ideas that enhance visual storytelling while remaining aligned with the Robert Welch brand.
- Work closely with the Creative Team to support product launches and ongoing product content.
- Support or organise location shoots when required, including planning, logistics and set-up.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met without compromising quality.
Post-Production & Asset Management
- Retouch images and carry out colour correction to ensure accurate and high-quality results.
- Optimise imagery for use across multiple platforms, including website, print, social media and advertising.
- Organise, label and archive digital assets in line with company processes.
- Maintain consistency and quality across all visual assets.
Studio & Equipment Management
- Operate and maintain in-house photography equipment and studio facilities.
- Manage studio props and production tools to support efficient shoot preparation.
- Ensure all equipment is kept in excellent working condition.
- Recommend equipment upgrades or new purchases where appropriate.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe studio environment.
Competencies and Additional Requirements:
Essential
- Proven experience as a Photographer, ideally within retail, lifestyle or premium consumer goods.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating product and lifestyle photography.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly Photoshop and Lightroom.
- Strong visual storytelling ability with an excellent eye for composition, lighting and styling.
- In-depth knowledge of photography production techniques and studio practices.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a creative team.
- Comfortable responding to urgent tasks and delivering high-quality work to tight timelines.

- Experience of both studio and on-location photography shoots.
- Understanding of SEO considerations for digital imagery.
- Experience using AI-assisted tools for image editing or generation.
