Join us in this tutorial of how to wrap a boxed table gift to complete a table in style.

1 - To start, measure the paper to fit a cube or the object you’re wrapping. You don’t want too much excess; the sides don’t need to fold all the way up.

2 - Double sided tape is key for the professional look. Add some tape to the end and line it but don’t stick it down, get the positioning right first.

3 - Trim the excess.

JANE'S TOP TIPS
WRAPPING SMALL TABLE GIFTS

  • Utilise corrugated cardboard as an additional layer around gifts wrapped in brown paper. Embellish with some twigs tied with ribbon, it will be eye-catching.
  • Used brown paper that is already creased can still be reused. Scrunch it into a tight ball and you will get a fantastic crinkle effect.
  • Give gifts the natural twist by tying in twigs and cones off country walks.
  • Keep old cracker gifts as these often make great decorations on the outside of a gift.
  • Small remnants of ribbon can be re used by labelling luggage and keys.
  • Premade bows from crackers can easily be added on to gifts. Just tie them in with a neutral colour string or twine.
  • Wallpaper remnants make great gift bags and gift envelopes.
  • Make your own personalised paper by scrawling messages on to brown paper with a sharpie pen. Your friends and family will love it.
