SPOTLIGHT ON STAINLESS STEEL: THE PALM COLLECTION
Glamorous, bold, and sophisticated, Palm is an elegantly fluted collection of award-winning cutlery, mills and fine dining pieces found on tables across the world - on land, at sea and in the air. Inspired by the swaying leaves of the tropical palm, its distinctive inscribed flutes play with light and shade, drawing you into another realm at the table.
Regarded as a masterpiece of modern craftsmanship and design, Palm Air Bright cutlery won the Cutlery/Flatware category at the Tableware International Awards of Excellence 2026 at Ambiente - the world’s leading international trade fair.
The hollow-handled cutlery blends advanced manufacturing processes with sculptural beauty. Elegant yet confident, polished yet tactile, Palm is designed to elevate the everyday: striking, intentional, and beautifully balanced.
Designed in our historic Cotswold studio, where our founder Robert first set up his drawing board in 1955, every Palm piece is meticulously crafted. Palm is made from the finest 18/10 stainless steel: durable and sustainable. All our stainless-steel products are guaranteed for 25 years.
FIT FOR PURPOSE
Inspired by nature and perfected in design, every Palm piece is a fluid fusion of sculptural form and everyday functionality. From small, medium, and large mills in mirror-polished bright or brushed satin finishes, to the manufacturing masterpiece that is Palm Air cutlery; the collection is tactile, elegant, and beautifully balanced.
Palm Air Bright is the newest evolution of the design, part of our Master Collection and award winning. Hollow-handled and unexpectedly light, it blends precision manufacturing with sculptural beauty. Each handle is individually welded and polished to create one continuous silhouette that captures light and shade with every movement.

Palm mills are tall and elegant with a refined fluting pattern. Available in three sizes, they move effortlessly from kitchen to table. Refillable from the top, they feature a ceramic CrushGrind® mechanism, easily adjustable from fine to coarse. Custom trays are designed to capture loose grounds, while the domed lid is tactile and comfortable in use.
"We wanted to offer an element of surprise at the table. Palm Air Bright looks traditionally elegant – until you pick it up. Each handle is hollow, seamlessly welded, and beautifully finished with soft edges for a comfortable, tactile grip."

WHERE IN THE WORLD?
Palm is found in discerning homes, restaurants, and hotels across the globe — on land, at sea and in the air.
In 2008, a commission from Emirates called for a refined yet lightweight cutlery design to complement its Royal Doulton china in First and Business Class Cabins. That partnership sparked Palm’s evolution into the collection we know today.
Today, First Class Emirates passengers dine with a full symphony of Palm piece and a bespoke, tricorn caviar bowl. On long-haul flights, unlimited caviar and vintage Champagne are served with Emirates’ experiential white-glove service: as the cloche lid is lifted, a mother-of-pearl spoon is used to serve, preserving the delicate flavour beneath.
Artisan cheeses are presented with Palm cheese and butter knives; stainless-steel swizzle sticks bring glamour to drinks; canapé forks, fish knives and napkin rings complete the 23-piece collection — all at 40,000 feet.
"We were thrilled when they approached us to design a new Caviar Dish for their First Class cabins"

BRITISH DESIGN HERITAGE
Like all our designs, Palm was conceived in the old Silk Mill in Chipping Campden.
Our founder Robert began sketching here in 1955 after leaving the Royal College of Art, launching what would become a global brand. His pioneering focus on stainless steel was rooted in a belief that beautiful, well-designed objects should be part of everyday life.
Just as the mill waters babble under the building, our creative legacy continues today. Design Director Paul deBretton Gordon and Head of Creative Kit deBretton Gordon lead the team from the same honey-coloured walls.
Sketch books rich with pencil and pen and ink vignettes, are all kept here – a lasting reminder of the rich legacy of craftsmanship which still runs through our veins today.
We’re incredibly proud of our iconic British design heritage, and everything we do today is shaped by it.
"There has to be this flow of new designs all the time…you have to have the faith and the courage to keep on and on trying new things."
Robert Radford Welch, BBC, 1996
