Design Notes

The innovative Robert Welch Signature integrated knife sharpener is designed as a replacement knife sharpener to be integrated within our Signature knife block. If you would prefer a free standing knife sharpener then see the Robert Welch Signature hand-held knife sharpener.

The Signature integrated knife sharpener contains a ceramic sharpening wheel to microsharpen and hone your plain edged kitchen knives. Designed to maintain all plain edge kitchen knives. The quickest and easiest way to sharpen your kitchen knives. Use regularly to maintain the blade edge of your kitchen knives.

The ceramic sharpening wheel is housed within an angled clear plastic guard which ensures the knives are aligned correctly with the sharpening wheel, positioned at the optimum sharpening angle for the Japanese-style 15° blade edge of the Signature range of kitchen knives. We recommend that after 12-24 months, depending on frequency of use, you replace the integrated knife sharpener in order to maintain your knife's cutting edge to a high standard.

Whilst specifically designed for use with the Signature range of kitchen knives, this hand-held knife sharpener can also be used to maintain and sharpen other plain edge kitchen knives. Please note that serrated edge blades should not be sharpened with this product.

Part of the Signature kitchen collection, which includes kitchen knives, scissors, utensils, kitchen accessories, kitchen storage and textiles. Each piece has been designed to bring order to your kitchen, with storage and display ideas that will blend the satisfaction of a tidy space with a welcome sense of calm.

Technical Information

The Signature integrated knife sharpener, for use with the Signature ABS knife block, is made durable matt black ABS. The replaceable ceramic sharpening wheel is housed within an angled clear plastic guard which ensures the knives are aligned correctly with the sharpening wheel. Suitable for all non-serrated knives.
