If your order contains an 18+ Age Restricted Item, we would like to advise you that we will use AgeChecked during the order process, using the information you have supplied. This is to comply with the legal requirements for selling this item.
If the initial Age Verification is unsuccessful, we will email you to ask you to provide us with further information to verify that you are aged 18 or over. If we cannot verify your age, it will not be possible to sell you the Age Restricted Item.
Further to the AgeChecked process, DPD will require Age Verification from you at the point of delivery to your home. DPD will use ‘Think 25’ which means if the person taking the delivery looks younger than 25, they will be asked to provide ID proving they are aged 18 or over.
DPD will NO LONGER deliver 18+ Age Restricted Items to the following options:
- DPD ‘Drop-off shop’
- Leave with neighbour
- Leave in a safe place
- Deliver to locker
DPD will send an SMS delivery notification to your UK mobile phone number with the details of your delivery date/time.
The driver will only attempt delivery of an 18+ Age Restricted Item ONCE. Please understand that you will need to be available to provide the relevant information. If you are not available, it will be returned to Robert Welch Designs.
So that you can easily arrange a convenient delivery time/date we suggest downloading the DPD App, https://www.dpd.co.uk/lp/yourdpd/index.html which allows you to edit your delivery date/time and communicate with the DPD delivery driver if required.
