Unwanted marks that appear can be easily remedied and some avoided altogether by following our recommendations (see below). Typical marks caused by contact with other metallic items in the dishwasher or cutlery not being dried immediately after a wash are rust marks or water marks.
HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR CUTLERY
CARE GUIDE FOR CLEANING STAINLESS STEEL CUTLERY
RECOMMENDED CARE
Our cutlery comes with our 25 year guarantee but to maintain your cutlery for years to come, follow our simple care advice.
In the dishwasher:
1 - We recommend washing your cutlery in the dishwasher: Wash on a short hot cycle 65°-75°C (150°-167°F)
2 - Use quality branded all in onedishwasher tablets. For UK customers we recommend Fairy Platinum Plus and for US customers Cascade Platinum Plus.
3 - Keep Rinse Aid topped up and Salt (for hard water areas).
4 - Avoid washing with non-stainless steel metals (this can cause rust staining - especially on knives).
5 - Ensure the dishwasher filters are cleaned and use a proprietary dishwasher cleaner regularly.
By hand:
1 - Rinse cutlery to remove all traces of food as soon as possible after use. Wash in warm soapy water with a microfibre cloth or non abrasive brush. Always avoid scouring with pads or abrasive cleaners as this will scratch the surface.
2 - To restore the finish on your cutlery we recommend using a dry microfibre cloth.
3 - Try to avoid soaking your cutlery and always dry thoroughly immediately after washing.
4 - Unwanted marks can occur on cutlery when it isn’t dried immediately or when it comes into contact with an inferior metal, for example a potato peeler or grater.
