Design Notes
A Classic ship's decanter shape, with a wide flat base and a solid glass stopper. Made from the highest quality, full lead crystal, the Robert Welch whisky decanter is hand crafted in Britain using traditional glass blowing methods.
The Robert Welch Ship's Decanter holds a full bottle of wine, but can also be used for brandy or port. Decanting will aerate red wine and port to help improve its clarity and flavour and, with older wines, allow you to separate the sediment from the wine.
The ship's decanter is perfectly balanced with a collared neck, for ease of pouring. The orb topped stopper is solid glass, with a frosted glass neck which ensures easy removal before pouring.
Please note that the glass may include some small natural imperfections, such as air bubbles, due to the traditional hand crafting process.
Please note: This product is delivered in a plain box.
Technical Information
The Glassware is hand blown in full lead crystal. Due to the traditional production methods used, minor imperfections may exist.

Designing the Robert Welch way
Robert Radford Welch MBE, RDI was one of the most respected British designers of the 20th century. He believed that everyone should be able to use beautifully designed products in everyday life. After training as a silversmith at the Royal College of Art in London, he specialised in design for stainless steel, establishing a company in his own name in 1955.
Today, the company works to ensure its rich legacy remains an inspiration to the design team, whilst continuing to innovate in terms of technique and technology.
