APPRENTICE – Office Administration (Sales Support) Chipping Campden

Robert Welch Designs has a fantastic opportunity for an Apprentice to join our award winning team.

Our professional Apprentice programme provides an insight into every area of our business. Carrying out placements in all of our teams; Design, Marketing and eCommerce, Retail, Warehouse, Operations, Finance and IT. At the end of the programme you will have knowledge of all of the people who work in our business.

You will specialise in Sales where you will pursue your career at the end of the 1 year programme. You will be supported through your learning journey on-site and via College. As an Apprentice you will qualify for the same excellent benefits as a Robert Welch employee, however you will receive 6 monthly salary increases, based on performance. There is an opportunity to receive a generous package at the end of the 12 month programme subject to your performance.

You will be working with a small team developing some of the best products in the world. You will work towards a nationally recognised qualification in either Business or Customer Services which can be tailored to you. With an opportunity for further study if desired.

Digital/Social Media Executive

Reporting to: Head of Consumer Marketing and Digital

Robert Welch has become world renowned for designing and manufacturing products that function beyond expectation. We are looking for someone who can put the same level of creative obsession and meticulous attention to detail into our digital and social communications.

Outline:

The role of Digital/Social Media Executive will be primarily focused in the development and implementation of a robust digital and social media plan, building brand equity and driving awareness through a sustained presence across multiple digital channels.

Your day-to-day world will revolve around social media. Planning, creating and sharing engaging, targeted content across our own social media channels. This will involve a blend of using scheduling and reporting tools as well as sending real time responses to followers. You will also build relationships with companies, individuals and journalists who can amplify our messages to wide and relevant audiences through their own channels.

Outside of social media you will be focused on building our brand and domain authority by creating relevant content, which you can then share online via bloggers, digital PR, brand partnerships etc…

Creative and focused copywriting skills will be essential in generating written content to populate social media, news/blogs, and articles to encourage engagement, content sharing and inbound links to the website.

You will have excellent self-organisation skills, which includes attention to detail and accuracy along with great creative and literacy skills. In order to fully realise your potential within this role you will need to be resourceful, meticulous and creative in equal measure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the strategy and day-to-day management of all Robert Welch social media accounts. Responding to customer comments, engaging with other brands/bloggers, paid boosting to drive targeted and cost effective customer acquisition.
  • Create written content to populate social media channels as well as news/blogs, and articles.
  • Seek out and build relationships with likeminded brands/influencers/bloggers/journalists, ensuring the largest and most relevant audiences are reached.
  • Work with appointed full service agencies to repurpose assets to deliver campaigns spanning: Concept, Creative, Social, PR and Media.
  • Use the Robert Welch website CMS platform to publish content online.

Graphic Designer - Digital

Reporting to: Head of Consumer Marketing & Digital

Robert Welch has become world renowned for designing and manufacturing products that function beyond expectation. We are looking for someone who can put the same level of creative obsession and meticulous attention to detail into our digital marketing communications.

Outline:

Working in the Digital team within the wider Marketing department, the role of Graphic Designer will provide creative design solution services to key stakeholders within the business.

The role is focused around the creative design and visual development of all Robert Welch online/digital channels – Adding your own creative interpretation of visual guidelines to ensure all marketing communications are relevant, effective and on-brand. Responsibility will span three eCommerce websites, email marketing, social media, advertising banners, tactical campaign graphics for retail partners and more besides.

As well as being highly resourceful and creative by nature, the role will require you to have excellent self-organisation skills – managing your own workload will be critical within this role, as will a meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.

The ability to help plan, copy write and execute email campaigns against the tactical marketing plan would be advantageous but not essential. As would the ability to implement your designs using HTML and CSS. These additional skills would set you apart from other applicants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce creative, engaging and on-brand (triggered and manual) marketing emails. Working within current templates and designing new ones to ensure our communications are effective and that our brand stays relevant to our customers in this fast paced environment.
  • Design responsive landing pages on Robertwelch.com and the associated microsites.
  • Visually merchandise and promote products on Robertwelch.com and the associated microsites, in line with the tactical marketing calendar. As well as assisting in the visual aspects of the day-to-day operational flow of adding new products to our websites.
  • Ensure the UX across all digital touch points is visually clear and consistent. From a customer receiving an email to cross device shopping – implementing a “Don’t make me think” approach to usability is crucial.
  • Provide creative and effective visual solutions to support all social media channels as well as news/blogs, and online articles.
  • Working with our external eCommerce service provider to implement designs across Robertwelch.com and the associated microsites.
