Robert Welch – A Celebration
As part of the ongoing celebrations surrounding the publication of Robert Welch: Design: Craft and Industry by Charlotte and Peter Fiell, Bath Literature will be hosting an event during the 2016 festival.
Taking place on Saturday 5th March at the Abbey Hotel, the event host Simon O’Hagan, editor of The Independent Magazine will chair an expert panel as they discuss the lasting design legacy of Robert Welch (1929-2000). Featuring the book’s authors together with Rupert Welch, son of Robert and MD of the eponymous modern company and Charlotte Whitehead, the company’s archivist, the panel will reveal design stories and how Robert’s design ethos has shaped the modern brand.
