Alice and Rupert Welch are delighted to announce the appointment of their mother, Patricia Welch, as Life President of Robert Welch Designs.

Robert and Patricia were first introduced to each other by a mutual school friend in 1958. Just one year later, after becoming quite the glamorous pair together, the couple were married in Worcestershire. In 1962 they then moved to the White House in Alveston, Warwickshire that would become the family home for the next 39 years.

Like Robert, Patricia had also trained at Birmingham College of Art and her passion for art and design drove her to be a stalwart supporter of Robert throughout the Old Hall years and later as Robert Welch Designs grew exponentially throughout the 1990s. To this day, Patricia has continued to play an active role in the running of the company.

Alice Welch, Marketing Director said "We wanted to honour Patricia's unending support of Robert and later myself and Rupert by giving her this role as figurehead of Robert Welch Designs."
